The CDP word of the month for April is Respect. Respect is the first thing we teach students about before starting their first lesson. As a karate student, it is so important to be respectful in the karate studio, during your class, towards your instructors and fellow students. We also want students to be respectful outside of karate, like at home, school, work and other activities. Some ways to show respect could include saying things like please and thank you, being kind to friends and classmates, listening to other people’s ideas, being helpful at home, keeping your room tidy or raising your hand and waiting to be called on at school or in karate.
