This month, our CDP message will be the words of Student Creed 1. Every class,
students recite these very important words, “I will develop myself in a positive
manner and avoid anything that could reduce my mental growth or my physical
health.” These words are taught to our students on their first karate class to earn
their white belt and years later is a requirement for earning their black belt.
As karate students, we strive to live a positive lifestyle doing things that are good for
our mind and body, while avoiding things that aren’t. Karate is good for both your
mental and physical health, which is awesome! We know it isn’t always the easiest to
avoid all negative situations, but we can do many things to try, like surround ourselves
with positive people, participate in activities that are good for us, move our bodies
daily, eat healthy meals, drink water, challenge ourselves to work hard on something
and do things that make us feel happy!
