This month our CDP message is Teamwork. Teamwork is what makes Callahan’s Karate what it is. Our staff, students and families are always working together to make it a fun, supporting and accepting environment for all! Students use a tremendous amount of teamwork in their karate journey as they take classes, go through stripe testing, physical testing and graduations, all the way up until black belt testing together! We
also love to see the teamwork our students have outside of karate, like on sports teams or school musicals or helping out at home. We can also use teamwork in challenging situations to help each other out. If there
are a lot of household chores to do, team up with a family member and divide the tasks. If you’re trying to improve on something, ask for help from a friend or teacher. If you want to be known as a good team member in your class at school, at your job, in karate or another activity, treat others with respect, be understanding, be
openminded and of course, be friendly! “Competition makes us faster; Collaboration makes us better.”
