The CDP word of the month for March is Intensity. Intensity is a way to show strength,
energy or feeling. It is an important element of karate training and leads to stronger
moves, more energy and excitement towards karate, and a more realistic practice of
how to stand up for yourself or defend yourself if ever needed. Using intensity makes
your karate forms look very cool as well, especially when performing (like in the
upcoming tournament!)
Intensity can also be used outside of karate, like when giving a speech or talking in
front of others, exercising or playing another sport, adding emotion to a certain part
of a song you’re playing on a musical instrument, or standing up for yourself to tell
someone to stop, back away or no thanks.
